Some Games are Have no Sound

Hello everyone,
Just recently when I wanted to play Rust I ran into the issue of having no sound. Game menu audio is at max as well as the sound mixer for the computer as well. I decided to try another game in which it did not have sound either. Rainbow six seige and Dota 2 both have sound however. So I am at a loss of trying to figure this out. Any help would be great and helpful. I have tried varifying the games caches, updating drivers, as well as updating razer syanpse. None of these have worked so far. Even tried unistalling Rust and redownloading to see if that would work.

Just another thing when you open steam overlay and watch a video that does have sound, while the game does not

Try reboot Steam / computer and see if that does it.

Personally, whenever I use my Razer ManO'War headset, my Shadowplay won't record audio as it expects it from a different audio output.

Perhaps your game is outputting the audio to [SPEAKERS] as well?
You could try to

1. Go to [Control Panel > Sound]
   
2. Change Speakers as your default audio output
   
3. Go under the [Recording] -tab
   
4. Right mouse click anywhere -> [Show disabled devices]
   
5. Enable StereoMix (right mouse click -> [Enable])
   
6. Right mouse click StereoMix and click Properties
   
7. Go under the Listen -tab and tick this box,
   
   

   Listen to this device
8. Select your headphones from the dropdown list below
   
9. Consider changing the volume under the [Levels] -tab
   
10. Hit [OK]
    
11. Retry.

Tried you steps. As well as running steam and the game as adminstrator still didnt work. Thanks for the attempt

In that case I'd probably ensure the game is outputting audio while it's running.

Check the audio mixers (the default and Razer Synapse's [if you use Razer headphones, or the Surround app])

Their showing the few games with no audio output while R6S does show output(working audio). Wonder if its worth a try of redownloading steam client.
