Refund endless loop

Hi,

I have recently purchased which I meant to gift to my son but I bought for myself... I figured I would get a refund without a problem so I purchased it again right away and gifted it to my son...

The game was never installed, but since my son had played the free weekend it seems like the automated refund system sees it as over 2 hours played... Now both refund requests I made seem to absolutely not account for my explanations and there is no easy way to talk to someone in Support.

Can anyone let me know how to proceed please? I have now paid 80$ for a 40$ game.

You already talked to someone in support twice. They just don't bother to personalize the no with each request. They read your explanations, and it wasn't deemed good enough.

Correct. You have 14 days after purchase to ask for a refund. If you did not do that in that timeframe then you can no longer get a refund.

I'm confused ... Did your son play the free weekend (accumulating playtime) using his steam account or yours?
