family sharing/file location

So, basically i have 3 other accounts shared to this one. i want to play fallout 4 from one of my older accounts that has all the dlcs, but it is forcing me to use one of the newer accounts that dont have the dlcs.

i've tried removing the family sharing from the newer account but it just forces me to set it up again.

i've even got the original files from the very first account on my HDD. but it keeps forcing me to use the one installed by the newer account on the internal.

would simply deleting the files from the internal let me play the version on the external (that i assume has a signature file for the older account allowing me to finally play the dlcs.)

or can i find the signature file and move it onto the internal.

all i want to do is flipping mod the game without it going "you dont have these dlcs" >.<

You can't choose which library sharing will use. So, you have to only share from the account that has the DLC.

that doesn't help me at all. i can stop sharing with the account it is forcing me to use, but i still cant play the game because it wont let me "share" the game from the account that has the dlcs.

it is forcing me to use the account that has no dlcs. and i cant find a work around, even changing the priority order of the accounts that are currently shared doesn't fix it.

i've even tried disabling family sharing in an attempt to set it up again from scratch but it still continues to force me to use the lesser account.

okay so, i stop borrowing from multiple libraries. i've set it up so it is only the old account with the dlcs sharing to the account im currently playing on. it still wont let me play the game, it still tells me to request access from the newer account. so once again, like usual, steam help is useless. hence why i am here, asking the community for a solution.

i know the dlcs can be shared as it was working on my old pc...


actually, would it come down to this newer account being the first account used on this pc? the older account with the dlcs was used on this computer after the fact... so the priority order of FS could be over written by the loggin order? no that doesnt make sense.

i have to log into the accounts i want to autherize/deautherize and do it on those accounts.

this will be a mission as i've lost my account/password list xD

never mind, even just went through all 3 accounts... still is being a ♥♥♥♥ and forcing me to use the non DLC varient by the newer account

♥♥♥♥ that was a ♥♥♥♥♥ to set up.

so log into the account you dont want, disable family sharing, log into the account you do want, disable then re-enable family sharing, log into the account you play on, select one of the games from the account you want, click play and then go through that process.

end result, had to redownload the dlcs and i'm finally able to get back to modding this pile of steaming... poop.
