How to remove games from favorites...

Go to the workshop and click items , favorites then click unfavorite next to each item.
Do the same for other sections.

i meant games how do i remove games from favorites

Just unfavorite them. Right there in your games list ,Use the steam client!

Load steam. Right click on the game. Remove from favorites.

I have Black Mesa in the list and there is no option to get it off the favorites list.
