Game Videos show black screen in Full Screen
Hello all, when I try to watch a game video, say of a game I am interested in, the video plays fine inside the window of the STEAM GUI. However if I try to maximize it to full screen, the sond keeps playing but the entire screen is black. I have to hit escape to exit it.
I tried to watch full screen on YouTube, Kotako, IGN and FOX News. All of those websites work fine in full screen. It is just STEAM video that will not show video in full screen.
Might anyone know a fix for this.? They have worked up until tonight. Last time I looked at the videos for games, were, I guess, Wednesday or Thrusday of this week. Nothing has changed on the PC's

Thank you in advance,
Mereinid

This is a known issue, there are already threads about it. Steam's video embedding is crap. If you want to watch a video, watch it online, rather than via the steam interface.

They need to at least add a LINK so external launching of vids on YT can quickly be done. This black fulls screen video bug is super frustrating.

Confirm - this is the solution. But it has to be applied exactly as described.

Thank you so much!!!

The linked thread is incorrect, the issue is actually a globally defined MSAA setting, you can rectify yourself by setting Antialiasing - Mode: application - controlled in the Valve Steam profile in NVCP.

This solution doesn't work either. The only page I can see is my Library. I have to come to the website to purchase games or look at the Workshop or see messages my friends write...its crazy how one-page works but the others give me the middle finger.

Thank you very much. This worked perfectly and was completed in under a minute.

for me, disabling antialising entirely for the Steam Web Helper in the NVDIA control panel resolves this issue

Same issue unfortunately I've pretty much had to resign myself to that or forget about full screen trailer at least for now.

Sadly its a Linux issue also, its pretty annoying that value being Valve cant get a simple video player right.
