Why is Support censored

Support. I'm trying to mess with my friends but, support is censored for some reason. Valve is too lazy and thinking banning the word support in the name is dumb as hell

Just to be banned but, I do think it's stupid to ban a word like support. Just put a golden name to know who's a real support or not. I'm trying to Impersonate a Indian Tech Support with my crappy accent. It's ruining my fun :(.

That doesn't mean you are allowed to inquire, conspire or attempt to impersonate a Steam Support member. This is why it is filtered. Even if you are doing this 'innocently with friends; other users can still see your username and if they report you;, your account can be community banned without notice. Making a thread about such a thing in Steam Discussions is just further calmitous.

Support itself has no harm to it. Support:give assistance to, especially financially; enable to function or act. Just block steam and valve no need to ban support and I think it's stupid to ban people with the name support. This is one reason why Origin is better than steam. They don't automatically ban everyone because of a name like support.

'Support' is censored for obvious reasons and there is no logic to have that as a profile name unless it was for malicious purposes. They only ban users who attempt or impersonate Steam Staff members like you were attempting to do in your OP until you edited it when caught. Some nice deflections and attempts at playing dumb since then but that isn't really going to cover up your original suspicious intentions.
