Have Steam cleaned up emoticons?

One day I noticed there was a blank spot in my emoticon collection. I clicked it and it was my cunningPepe. I figured it was a bug, but today I noticed that both of my Pepes are now invisible.

So either two possibilities come to my mind. Either Steam is cleaning out all the garbage content that is on there platforms, and they're starting with ones that provide memes as emoticons because that's their only selling point.

OR, they want to distance themselves from a certain site that called [NUMBER HERE] chan. The first step was not allowing there name to be shown, then censeoring meme words like thick (meme spelling,) and now they are destroying all the trash election memes.

(OR maybe I just need to buy the "Pepe Package" from my internet provider...)

I just searched the market and it seems like every pepe related emoticon has been removed. I'll try out Trump then some other memes.

Hmn... I mean it does make sense. Memes are more or less stolen from their creators. I'll hang onto mine and see how this plays out.

I think it was taken down with a DMCA. Hope i wrote it right?. Check this forum post and see if it helps. I read another thread a couple of days ago about this, but could not find it.

Yup! That is correct. The same person created a DMCA claim on both. I just now saw the emoticon in your library and it states this as well...
