Steam doesn't run with the new Windows 10 update

Yesterday (14/12/2017), I updated my Windows 10 because otherwise it wouldn't allow me to shut down my PC. On the other hand, when I clicked on Steam today, it didn't open. I restarted my computer a million times and even reinstalled Steam and still nothing. Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you for your atention.

I'm getting it so the steam program works, but almost every game doesn't load (apart from Skyrim). When you press play a small box appears briefly then that's it. Deus Ex GOTY runs - you can save the game ok but it crashes when you try to load a game.

Try updating drivers or check if some other software is freaking out like an antivirus.

1. Try uninstalling and reinstalling Steam at http://store.steampowered.com/about/
2. Make sure you have all the correct drivers.
3. Do you have any issues with any other programs/clients?
4. Make sure your antivirus program isnt blocking Steam in any way.
5. Reinstalling Windows is an option, but usually isn't necissary if only one program is the issue.

yeah it only does that with steam and my drivers are up to date but I think I managed to fix it when I went with Big Picture mode so thank u anyways :D

I am having the exact same issue. Steam stopped working after the latest update for me as well.
