Steam not opening Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe
So recently, I had a problem with my laptop. It couldn't connect to the internet due to "Wi-Fi doesn't have a valid IP configuration", so I went to a repair shop and the guy told me that my antivirus Avast was causing problems to my driver. So, he uninstalled it and did something (sorry not tech savvy here). Now, I can access the internet. However, I cannot open my steam. It always shows this error:

Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Please do help, I don't really want to uninstall and re-install steam all over again cause I have tons of games installed and don't want to re-download it.

Just try install steam again at same place. that should fix it.

or locate it at drev is it even there "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe"
click file to run it and see if steam can fix itself.

add allow rule in antivirus app, maybe app see or already block it, and not the first time its seen before , app block dont tell they are blocking it.

other old issue run steam.exe as admin. ( right click it )

or maybe anti virus has move it to quarantined folder, and will make sense, if file is not there where it use to be. ?
