VERY low fps with Acer Nitro 5 ( i7, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650, 8GB RAM)
Hey everyone,

I recently bought an Acer Nitro 5 and have very low fps on selected games. Games like Risk of Rain 2, Katana ZERO and The Forest run perfectly fine on high settings while games like League of Legends and XCOM Enemy Unknown have barely 2 fps or so even on lowest settings. The NVIDIA is set for default and all drivers are updated. Even though I haven't tested any AAA titles yet, the setup should be able to play at least AAA titles in medium settings from my informations.
I hope anyone can help me.

You need to install all your drivers. The drivers will be on your laptop model #'s website. For GPU, you need to use DDU to uninstall the stock drivers, then reinstall directly from Nvidia, and don't download GFE.

The game you're trying to play is probably using Intel HD and not the Nvidia GPU.

Check the driver.

Thank you for your answer. Everything is on latest version and full performance mode is activated.

If I right-click on XCOM for example, and then click on "run with graphic processor" it says "High performance NVIDIA processor (default)"

I'd still double check under Nvidia's drivers.

Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings.

Add XCOM's executable there and ensure the correct GPU is set.
