Which Windows OS is best for Steam and games?

I'm debating which Windows OS I should use to play my Steam games with, which would function the best and have the least problems.

Win 10 is the way to go.

Spectre/Meltdown performance impacts are less on Windows10 than 7/8 so I mean people who are gonna go "Win 7/8 has better performance", that argument is pretty much moot now. Unless you are gonna go "I am never installing patches ever" in which case enjoy being hijacked or worse because that's gonna be a thing

Thank you but I don't think you understand my circumstances. I have a Mac since my Windows laptop broke and can't afford a new one yet so I am going to use a hybrid emulator to play most of my games which is why I asked which OS to use.

You might as well Bootcamp Windows 10 than use an emulator

Also many games support Mac too
