Unaffiliated on Steamworks documentation?
Why do the Steamworks Documentation pages at https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/home say unaffiliated at the top? Is it still official Valve documentation?

It still is official. It is linked from here... https://partner.steamgames.com/?

Someone was telling me that the documentation at https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/drm#other_drm is unofficial because of that watermark shown on people without a Steamworks account.

They found a way to bypass it and now it is unofficial?

They are claiming it is unofficial because I used that page (which is now public) as proof that Steam isn't fully against copyright protection measures.
The Unaffliated text means you haven't signed up for Steamworks yet through the three publicly available methods.

You mean publisher partnership, Greenlight (RIP), or Direct?

The both of them, yes.

I don't have a product that meets any of the three, and unfortunately my life has taken a turn for the worse so it wouldn't be safe to publish if my utility were still Greenlight-safe.

Then it will state that until you can login to it.

If you are making a game and want to publish it onto Steam, feel free to join Steamworks.

It still has many (if not all) features from the former Steam Greenlight service.

It is a utility, a category pretty much banned after AndrewMD5 and zamuta got into that "Steam Cleaner" fight.
