Monitor says No Display after installing new GPU
Well this is kind of a long story. My friend recently purchased a gaming PC for himself, and here are the specs:

MB: MSI B250M Bazooka
CPU: Intel Core i5 7600k @3.8GHz 4-core
Onboard GFX: Intel HD 630
Installed Ram: 4GB (He plans to upgrade)
PSU: Thermaltake @600W
HDD: 2TB
OS: Windows 10 Pro (although it is not activated, he needs to buy a copy, not sure if this is an issue)
GPU we are trying to install: Zotac GeForce GTX 1050ti Mini 4GB

The computer works fine without the card installed, but all games run very slow. (since it only has the integrated chip)
As soon as we install the GPU into the PCIE slot and turn on the PC, the computer gets to post (keyboard lights up) but monitor displays No Signal. The GPU fans are spinning, and there is no required 6-pin power connector for this model GPU. We cannot get the computer to get to BIOS with the 1050 installed, but we can get there without it.

Here's what we've tried to fix it:
-Reseating the GPU multiple times
-Reseating CMOS battery (to reset BIOS)
-Uninstalling the integrated gfx driver
-Plugging HDMI cable into MB and GPU

We've searched many threads on google but there are so many and all of them have different issues.

Any help appreciated, I've been trying to get to play PC games with him on Steam for a while now, but the games are unplayable at his current FPS rates. Thanks in advance.

Note: sorry if this is the wrong category, but I wasn't getting any luck with responses under Steam Hardware, so I moved the thread and removed the old one.

Honestly, i would just bring it to a professional and let him fix the problem.

Try installing your GPU in his system to see if it works. If it does then it is likely the GPU is faulty. If it doesn't it could be a faulty motherbaord.

Or

You could try his new 1050 in your system. If it works the card is fine if not you know the GPU is faulty and can have your friend return it.

That was my first thought, that the card is dead. However, I wish it were that easy to test, but we live quite far away from each other :( the only option would be to mail the card to me and then mail it back just for a simple test. He does not own any other systems he could test on either.

Thank you this is a great resource.. didn't fix the problem but helped me narrow it down more, I'm still thinking dead gpu though.
So no sound about grafic card errors?

Maybe the screw doesnt allow the card connectors to seat right. Try to move it and screw again, not too tight. Just that it fits. Do not bend.

Did another card fit at once?

To my knowledge there was never another card installed. But if it wasn't seated properly, would the fan even work? The fan was working on the GPU

Just a heads up, I bought a 1050ti for a spare PC in my house. Didn't feel like driving 30 minutes to Micro Center, drove 5 minutes to Best Buy instead and bought it there. Got home installed card, dead out of the box. It didnt work in any of my computers.

Yea, I've never been a fan of these cards, I've had many different gpus by Nvidia and I can tell you that the 1050 and 1050tis are not the most reliable cards..if we find out that his card is dead I told him to go for a 970 or 1060. It can be up to twice the price but it's worth it.

Ya I was kicking myself because of it. I wanted to save the 1hr of driving and bought the Best Buy PNY 1050ti and it was dead. I returned it right away but it was Sunday and I couldnt make it to Micro Center before they closed....sucked. Ended up grabbing a STRIX 1050ti there on Monday and it worked flawlessly.
