when I send a YouTube video to a friend in Steam chat, the preview thumbnail no longer shows.

All I see in the chat is the picture of the Steam logo with the piston and a blue line going around and around the symbol as if it's trying to load.

My friends do get the link tho. I just don't see the preview. I updated to beta and no change. This is a new laptop and new install of Steam. It worked until a few days ago.

Any ideas?

Why do I need to add " "? My friend still gets the link and see's the preview image. It's just me that does not. Used to work until a week or less ago and now it does not. I can't understand what has changed.

Something went wrong a while back and that was the only workaround anyone posted.

i cant fkn believe this worked. i had this issue for over a year , i even wrote the steam support and they were like "yeah uh idk something with your firewall maybe? cant help" and i literally gave up. now i got a whole new pc installed steam and had the same fkn issue so i went on a angry search and luckily found this. saved my sanity. thx.
