No auth code
so i need to reset my password because i dont remember it and when i try to reset it, it prompts me with the 2-factor auth code needed and sence i dont know my password i cant log on to the steam moblie app therefore stoping me from changing my password:steamsad: i don't know what to do i need help can someone send me the code at the bottom of there steam moblie app please i need it!!

Even if you have the authenticator enabled, your phone should have a widget that displays the code and nobody else will not be able to assist you with that unfortunately.

It may be somewhat of a pain, but you should definitely open a Steam Support ticket.

I have made a steam support ticket 8 days ago and still no reply and either way its a new phone and i don't know my steam password im doing this from the steam client and i need my password because im getting a new PC

So you don't have access to neither the auth or recovery codes even when you were prompted to note these down and no consideration was made in writing down the password and placing it somewhere safe.

And no widget on your phone? Not referring to the app but a seperate widget that is provided.

yeah idk what to do at this point i may just transfer data from this pc to the new one

Hopefully Steam Support will reply in a matter of days. For the time being, you will just have to be patient and wait.
