Tip: How to imbed images within Steam's forum
I'm sure this isn't the first post on topic, but it took time to figure it out. Maybe it will help someone else, but I bet I'll need to look at it again. See below for procedure.

Not like this: Link copied from online library image (within Steam)
http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/189542958400247763/4A72659DBC5D94A891CAEC2E25BEEDD5EC824786/

LIKE THIS!
This is the link for the imbeded version (less quotes):
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=793547532

Notes:
Image imbeding on Steam is awkward: Toggling between image uploader, online image library, share dialouge, and forum. Warning! Save changes to post before redirecting from forum to library.

Why isn't there an imbed feature on forum pages, or the ability to open two tabs or pages at once? Instead, there is a forced re-direct while editing and without warning or confirmation?

Procedure: How to imbed images within Steam's forum -
In game, press F12 on keyboard to take screen-captures (if supported)
Press Alt-Tab on keyboard and toggle from game to Steam Client
In Steam Client, select "View" in upper left corner of page
In drop-down, select "Screenshots"
The "Screenshot Uploader" will open
In the loader, select desired images (annotate if desired)
Press the "Upload" button on dialogue, then "Upload" with "Public" sharing selected
WARNING! The next step will redirect Steam page, so save changes to posting first!
Press the "View Online Library" button on dialouge
Redirect to the image library page
Select the desired image
Left click on the "cog" icon, on right side of image dialogue
Within the cog's drop-down, select "Share"
The "Share" dialogue will open
Within the dialouge, copy the the provided link
WARNING! The next step may redirect to an outdated save state, inspect carefully
Return to the forum, then navigate to the desired thread/topic, continue to edit...
Paste the link, then select "Save Changes", as usual
The image should be imbeded, upon inspection
Repeat for each additional image

Tips:
Don't use the back arrow (upper left corner of page) while navigating from library to forum. This tends to load an outdated version of post. This seems to be an issue after saving the post more than once? May need further testing.

It is easier to copy all links into a text file and paste them into forum post, all at once.

When uploading, select "Public"; I used to use "Private" but never had imbeded images function until recently (not fully tested).

These instructions are for the smaller (thumb-nail) images, not the large. The link from larger images can be copied directly, without the need to open "Share" dialouge.

Using the forward and back arrows, on Steam interface, causes problems by loading outdated versions of the forum/thread. I thought it only loaded our older saved state, but this is not true.

Edited OP:
Press the "Upload" button on dialogue, then "Upload" with "Public" sharing selected

add:
Some games require Steam's client to be launched as administrator, otherwise the screencaptures will not function.

1. Why did you necro your own post?

2. Use the no parse formatting for the link instead of quotes.

This warranted necro: Edited and added to same discussion, rather than creating a duplicate. Avoids confusion of two threads with differences.

"less quotes", as previously indicated. I used the quotes to show what the imbedded link looks like for instructional purposes, otherwise it is displayed as the imbedded item (link example followed by imbedded example, in this case).

Noparse version of example, using "<text>":
