Computer shuts down while downloading

Whenever I am downloading a game on steam my computer shuts down without warning. This sometime occurs when using chrome and playing some games. However games like csgo do not shut down as often as games like rocket league

Okay I'll check over all those things, however before when I first got my computer I also was experiencing these problems. After a while I got a new PSU and the problem disappeared. I will check over the other things you listed before I opt to buy and new PSU. I will also get back to you if this problem proceeds after I have checked over everything.

Try downloading/installing/learning/using Piriform's free version of CCleaner; it may help sort out general software problems; especially in the 'Registry' department.

Okay so here is an update on how I am doing. I have Replaced my power supply, ran windows memory diagnosis and I have looked for errors on my HDD. It seems that there were some errors on my HDD and that seems to have reduced the problem. I have not been experiencing shutdowns quite as often now however I am still experiencing the. Also @Apostulator I tried downloading CCleaner however it would not open as when I doubl clicked nothing would happen.
