Steam Big Picture mode + Multi-Display Power Saver?
Okay, need some help. ALMOST had this set up in an ideal fashion but steam seems to be the ONE thing holding me back.

The activate by gpu usage feature seems to be inferior to the .exe activation. Shame as it would be infinitely more convenient.

Unfortunately it causes me lag not only on startup of games (takes a second to clock up) but it causes periodic hitching/frame drops in game when loads spike etc. Seriously, bums me out.

So my options were ditch it and have one of my gpus run at >1000mhz at desktop and heat my room up like mad in the summer, or use the exe activation.

I went down the gargantuan list of games I had 1 by 1 and added them. I figured when I was done, I would only have to mess with the list as/if/when I installed a new game. I could live with that.

The problem is I have steam run at startup. I do this because 90% of the time, if im not playing an mmorpg at my pc, im playing a conventional game via steam link instead.

When I add steam.exe to the list, it sees it as running in the tray and immediately boosts me. If i dont add steam.exe then when I open big picture mode it doesnt clock up and lags.

Am i screwed? Does a means exist to get it to log up either only when steam is opened out of the tray or when big picture mode is open? Apart from using the "activate by gpu usage" feature?
