Fake Updates

I hate that PUBG does a fake update everyday. They do it to tell us stuff that we may not care about but check just encase there is good info. If this is not stopped all games will put out a fake patch that uses up time and data. I tried to put a ticket in but Steam support has limited options that lead to talking to a person (none I found). I think this is a misuse of the patch system. Can you see when 50 games in you library send out a fake patch just to advertise like PUBG. Steam please asvise on if you are looking into this!

There are no fake updates for PUBG. And support can not help you with PUBG.

They are fake, it adds no game update but the last one tells us that headsets are up in slaes. That is a fake update. Steam should limit there updates if the fake them.

If you look at the amount it downloaded it in just above zero, that is fake. it also is done every day, look at the update page when you get the download it is telling you about what is up coming or about head set sales or stories about the game. At no time is it for an update that is needed for the game. If you belive that I have a bridge for sale, they are gaming the download system.

I have made my point to PUBG and they are happy to use the sytem this way. I am asking Steam to stop letting PUBG use the system out side of what is was made for.

And PUBG is using the system 100% correctly

It was made to distribute updates

That is what PUBG is doing

Steam will not do anything since the system is being used correctly and appropriately

They’re sending small updates for their Anti Cheat mechanisms

I've seen plenty of small updates on games not getting metioned on the update page.

I'm also quite curious how you can state so strongly that these updates aren't needed for the game.

I state they are fake as some are zero or close to zero. How is a update not fake if is tranfers no data. Please watch for a week and tell me then if you think they are not just using it as notifcations to talking points. They do do some small ones but a lot are zero or just above that. I am ok with lots of small patches.
