No internet connection after opening any game on steam
Hello! I'm using a MSI GF63 Thin 8RCS laptop and I can't play nothing on steam.
Every time I open a game on steam my internet connection is dropping for my entire my laptop.
I'm connected to internet using Wifi connection to a TpLink Archer C9 and 1 Gbps internet connection. If I'm connected to internet by cable and not wifi, everything works perfect.
What is the problem and how can I solve it? I want to mention that any other program have very high speed with wifi connnection. Thank you!

you didn't post what your WNC is
I assume driver issues, or router has issues.

The first thing to troubleshoot would be the wireless network card since it works with ethernet I'd think. he probably got a cheap $10 WNC
You might be right about the wifi chip issue on the laptop. Hard to say really.

ah right, laptop, that specific brand of laptop is known for the WNC dying fairly quickly. Need to get a WNC USB in that case
If that the case he has two options get a better wifi chip, or use external USB hub, I don't recommend those cheap wifi usb thumb drive as they have issues as well, would recommend something like TP
Archer T9UH AC1900 as you have the good experience with wifi, and decent download speeds when using 5G.
If WNC means wifi name card is Intel AC 9560 160Mhz. I just tried another laptop connected to the same router and is working perfect on wifi. Only my laptop doesn't.

Just means one of the following.
A) Driver issues, or network issue.
B) Something interfering with your wifi drivers on your laptop, software wise.
C) Chip defective.

Feel free the check this post, see if anything related to you that may fix your issue.

Thank you for your help guys, unfortunately nothing helps. I accidentally found out something.
If I'm running the laptop on battery only, all games work with wifi. If I'm connecting the power cord, there is no internet anymore after I'm opening any steam game.
I also want to mention that I have this problem only on 5Ghz wifi connnection, on 2.4Mhz it works.

try using an external WNC
I have EXACTLY the same problem on the same model MSI. It's been more than a year now, have you found a solution?

Ethernet works
2.4ghz wifi works
Only 5ghz wifi the issue?
The problem is because of the laptop. It will work only if you set your wifi 5ghz bandiwth to 20mhz only. Set up your router wifi 5ghz connection to 20mhz bandwith only or install msi app and set from there another mode excepting Gaming mode, the 2nd lowest one. If is not working, sell your laptop. I sold mine already because this problem can't be fixed.
I also changed the wifi card and got the same problem. The laptop is the problem, not the wifi card.
