That's not the case on steam. They have their own rules and guidelines. Neither is an online gaming platform for you to voice out your own political opinions. By all means if you want to risk getting a community ban you can go ahead

However, on a private platform such as Steam, they are free to dictate what can and cannot be discussed. Politics are usually one topic that is very much censored.

I tried finding a Hong Kong flag emote or emoji but I haven't been able to find one. Apparently there is one but it depends on the platform if it actually displays something.
