Should I download steam app on C or on other D drives?
Hi,
I just moved from console to PC :) and I was wondering where is the best location to download steam app and games and editing apps as I really have no idea about this!

My PC specs:
I9 9900k, Asus RTX 2080, Asus z390e gaming.

And my storage devices are:
C) M.2 Samsung 970 EVO 250GB where I downloaded Windows 10 pro on.
D) M.2 Samsung 970 EVO 500GB
E) SSD Samsung 860 EVO 1TB
F) HDD WD Black 2TB which will mostly be for all kind of files like videos, photos, documents...etc!

I don't want to download it on C but idk if this will causes issues or not! I am thinking of downloading steam app on (D) and most games I play with AfterEffects and Photoshop apps. And (E) for games/apps I don't use a lot...

gd that's a lot of storage devices. most games will play fine on E, you only need higher r/w speeds on games like Grand Theft Auto V with real long load times otherwise, but even 500 r/w will play most games perfectly fine with no load times.
Hehe I am a youtuber and streamer bro, I have to have these many storage devices. Will need them for games, editing programs and of course will have lots of others files like videos and photos and musics. Elgato itself takes lots of storage. So you mean I need to download all games on E and make D for games like GTA V and The Witcher 3
my point is you could cosolidate, single 970 EVO 2 TB for games and what not, and then another 4 GB HDD for storage. don't need 4.

But yeah, pretty much on that point. Games with super long load times/texture detail load in/etc, you put on the samsung, the rest you put on E, any indie/non-AAA games can go on E easily, but even AAA games like Skyrim which already load uber fast

for instance, Skyrim already loads pretty instantly on a 7200 RPM drive, prime candidate for E drive.

Yeah you are right my man. But I purchased them separately. So there was time between them. Otherwise, was going with your thought
