I can't write to strangers - all conditions met...

Hi guys, recently i wanted to write a message to a guy I played with. But strangely I can't send him a message. Reason - the account does not have permission (...).

I own this account for over 12 years, i spent some cash in Store and on the Market and i have lvl 14.

Where is the problem? Thanks for your help.

I am trying to send it to one player I played with. I can't send him a friend request, so I thought i will ask him to do this. That's how i know i can't send a msg :).

Well generally you cannot send a chat message to someone you are not friends with. At best you could post a comment on their profile if they have not blocked you and have their comments open to the public.

Kinda ridiculous, but okay. People with trusted and reliable accounts should have this posibility to write to anyone. Thanks for help.

No they shouldn't. Trust is how scammers are able to do the things they do. The ability to message anyone you want would be an absolutely terrible idea.

Imho accounts with high lvl, good comments and years being os Steam. This is not hard to see if you are speaking with scammer. If not, than i suggest to log off from the internet, because it's not an environment for somebody like this. And I'm not talking to you personally, just to describe.

Scammers tried to deceive me many times, especially when I was an active trader. As you can see I'm still alive.

Dude. As I can see you are very experienced Steam user. So am I. For all of this years i didn't have a lot issues of people texting me with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... So why we, trusted players, users, etc. can't text other people to make new friends etc? Like I said - it's ridiculous.
