Logitech g29 pc force feedback not working

So I've just bought a second hand g29 with pedals and shifter. I tested it prepurchase and it all worked fine on sellers PS4. I've connected it up to my pc and everything seems to work except the force feedback. I read online that this is a common problem.

I'm running windows 10. Switch set to PS4.

1. First I installed Logitech G HUB 2020.6.58918 - the accelerator showed as the break, the break the clutch, etc. So I uninstalled G Hub (turned pc off and on again) and after reading online, installed:
2. Logitech Gaming Software LGS\_9.02.65\_x64 - everything worked, including pedals, except the force feedback (centring spring works). Then tried running this:
3. [LogitechSteeringWheelSDK\_8.75.30.zip](http://www.logitechg.com/sdk/LogitechSteeringWheelSDK_8.75.30.zip) It shows as force feedback enabled and everything at 100% gain, but no force feedback.

I've turned the pc on and off multiple times and spent ages trying combinations of different settings. None of these things seem to work. I've tested it on Dirt Rally and Wreckfest.

Is there a simple way to test or calibrate the force feedback? If not how can I uninstall the drivers and start over?


Any help would be great as I'm 4 hours into 'setting it up' right now :-(

All this is still Logitech support, if game even support controller device. rest is Logictec and the game devs issue.

After a quick google search, it turns out (apparently), that you need to be in PS3 mode on PC. Source: https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/39870-logitech-g29-force-feedback-not-working/
Also, some games only work with force back with certain wheels. My brother had bought a TMX Force Feedback - Thrustmaster and force back didn't work with some games. From what I remember Forza 4, BeamNG, Euro truck sim...
