Do Steam Product Codes have an expire date. ?
I want to buy "Call Of Duty World At War" as a retail from eBay, but I don't know if the Steam key is expired.

Is it possible for an inactive Product Code to expire. ?

No, but it could be already used and you getting scammed.
Retail codes can only be used once.

Here is an article about Retail key from Steam support

The answer is (apparently) not. The only problem you could encounter is if the key is already activated on another account.

No, the game is Brand New and Sealed.
It's not used.

Which is what the seller claims. Doesn't have to be the truth.

Believe it or not but some sellers reseal them intentionally and sell them as "brand new" to get a few more bucks out of it.

Aside from the possibility that software purchased on eBay might be counterfeit, you should be aware that the product key might not activate on Steam. If, as you imply, this is a retail boxed version, then even if legit, it is likely that the key is not a Steam key. Many years ago, Steam had a list of retail games whose product keys can be activated on Steam. It has long since been taken down but you can still find it here:

Note that "Call of Duty World at War" is not on the list. I don't know, however, if the list was complete or exhaustive at time of archive.

ebay doesnt protect you from game code purchaes. when you get ripped off, ebay cant help you

Also note that COD WaW is a GFWL game not a steam game

even the code is 'valid' which it wont be. it doesnt activate on steam and you cant use the GFWL key anyway

As for not getting scammed, you might want to wonder how an ebay seller magically has 700 copies of a 10 year old PC game

A friend of mine at work bought a sealed and brand new game for their kid on ebay and they couldn't register the code cause the code was already used. They made a complaint with ebay and ebay did nothing. If I see used steam games at Salvation Army I tell them keys are probably already used and are worthless now. Watch yourself and don't get scammed.

Is gfwl that off? While i would not recommend anyone to get anywhere near it, not alone for this reason when it arises, i did not hear its literally broken now. And not just feels like that......
