Fallout New Vegas says "purchase" not play

Before you ask, let me tell you that, no, I'm not on a different account. I was playing yesterday just fine (actually today technically) and I woke up a little bit ago and it's just gone.

All it says is "purchase" where it should say play. Thank God it's still downloaded. I'm about to make a backup of my save because I have nearly 100 hrs in it.

No, there was no refund request on my account history or refund under purchase history. There's also no refunded money in either my steam account or bank account.

Please note, the steam store actually says it's in my library, but when I go to my library it just says purchase.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening? Only game like this in my account - already contacted steam support.

Ok yeah confirmed, lots of people have to clear it 2 or 3 times even without a PC restart and it seems to fix it, so try clearing it a few times then try again if it doesn't fix it after the first time

I have the same problem with a few of my games, even ones I bought a few weeks ago. I noticed all of the affected games are on sale right now so maybe that has to do with it.

Basically happening to all the sale games right now just don't uninstall it if it's already installed and you should be fine

Yeah same, bjamison0. The first thing I noticed was the sale going on for FNV.

Dear GOD I hope not. I feel like with as much attention as the community is giving it all over social media they have to fix it sooner, but if they don't that means half my games are in limbo so I'm really hoping it's a quick fix to whatever bug they didn't think to test for like...soon.

Same. I just wanted to play some New Vegas lmao. If it lasts all sale, that's going to be horrible.

I'm working on streaming and have been setting up videos for Fallout 4 for a channel since the end of March and saw it said purchase after almost 1600 hours of game play since April and nearly had a panic attack, then noticed NV and 3 were gone too, as are like...half my games...Somebody who launched the changes without testing them is so in trouble

Lmao very true. I was also freaking out a bit when I saw that my game was gone, but I immediately backed up the save after I made the post because I'm not losing my save. Spent so much time on it.

I tried every single other thing and just had this suggested to me and it worked for me....

It's in settings under downloads....I legit have all the games back now?
