Gifted Red Dead Redemption 2 to Girlfriend with Steam Family Sharing On, Having Major Issues
So I bought RDR 2 on my PC back in April when I built it, and have been playing normally since. I just bought it for my girlfriend about an hour ago because we both thought it would be fun to play together. I gifted the game to her, she accepted it, and when she went to install the game, she said she couldn't find it in her library. She goes to the store page, and it tells her it's already in her library. I think after this, she said it let her click an install button, and it would bring up that Steam install window, but then it would close out and take her back to the store page. She tells me this and I'm like "wtf" so I go to get on MY Steam, and find out that I can't play the game either. It's already installed on my PC, and like I said, I've been playing it since April. I JUST played it last night, but now when I go to it in my library, it tells me to purchase the game. If I try running the game through the shortcut on my desktop, it brings the window up telling me the game is starting, and then it closes and directs me to the store page. But then the store page also tells ME that the game is in MY library.

I had a feeling Family Sharing was creating the issue because I know certain games (Rockstar Games, in particular) won't work through family sharing. So, on both my girlfriend's account and on mine, we remove EVERYONE, including each other, off of our Family Sharing, and we still can't get the game to work.

So I go to Steam support to try and issue a refund on her copy of the game that I gifted to her. It tells me that there was an error submitting the refund request and that it could not be submitted at this time. But then when I go to the main support page for Red Dead 2, it tells me that I have a refund request pending.

Please help, please. I'm at a total loss of what to do. I already emailed Rockstar Support as well, but I hear they are extremely unreliable.

From what I’ve read in other discussions, this seems to be a problem with purchase verification due to server maintenance. Very frustrating but should be resolved in a few hours.
