General Controller Settings - How To Fix - Guide
Tried fiddling with the General Controller Settings and messed up the "define layout" or "calibrate"? Can't seem to reset the controller back to the way it was? Do this!! (Took me a while to get this fix, hence me sharing it in case anyone else has the same issue)

1. Close Steam
2. Go to Device Manager (It's located in Control Panel)
3. Find the controller (Mine is Xbox One Controller)
4. Right click and uninstall device
5. Unplug controller from computer
6. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config and DELETE the config.vdf file
7. Plug your controller back into your computer
8. Restart Steam (Will have to re-enter password)
9. Check controller settings (You may need to unplug and replug controller for it to show)
10. IMPORTANT - Make sure you checkmark which controller config support yours is
11. Go to Big Picture Mode > Library > Whatever Game > Manage Game > Controller Config

Basically what we've done here is remove the personal preferences file and Steam recreates a brand new version with no memory of previous settings. We then can customize for individual games in Big Picture Mode instead of regular desktop mode. Uninstalling from device manager may not be necessary but I do it just in case.

*I realize it may be a bit annoying to bind for each individual game but it works properly
**If you want to customize your controller button bindings DO NOT do it in the General Controller Settings. Do it as I said in 'Part 11' (Per game)

-I hope this helps everyone!!
