Are you on a 64bit Windows? VR Chat only runs on 64bit.

What does Steam say your current version of Windows is?

Help > System Information
It's in the Operating System Version section.

On Steam client, click on help that found top of the client, click on system information, a new box will show, click in the text area press these keys ctrl + a, then press ctrl + c, then paste into this discussion, and it will tell us your system specs to better help you.

Ok, lets make it simpler.

Press the WINDOWS key and the PAUSE/BREAK key on your keyboard at the same time.
That will open the SYSTEM page for your PC and under System Type it will say 64 bit or 32 bit system.
Just give us that information.

These are the 2 keys you need to press:

Then your uncle mess up, if you got the CD key, just download the Windows ISO 64 bit version, if you don't have the cd key ask your uncle for the cd key.

Use Google search how to do it there's hundreds of videos, and guides on this they all tell you the same thing how to do it.

Talk to your uncle about your issue.
