!!HELP!! i lost my phone and i lost my steam guard and phone number
my dumbass also put the recovery code that start with R#### on that phone. Is there a way to change your phone number or remove the mobile authenticator without it? i still have my account logged in on one device

I already contacted steam support but from my experience they rarely reply. or maybe is there a live chat customer support for steam that i can use?

Sorry for that. At first I completely misunderstood and got confused. Whoops.

You should contact Steam Support if that doesn't work, and be patient enough to let them reply.

And maybe try the email option here.

Contact support that the only option you have, and you need to provide them proof of ownership as well they will ask you questions for proof.

so i got a reply from steam support and he says i need to provide a cd key which i don't know where to locate since i buy everything online. can anybody help?

He asking for CD that you used to redeem on Steam such as Steam wallet card, or a game that for Steam, like Half life, Counter strike, skyrim, or etc that you pick up from your local game store.

If you can not provide that, then ask them if there another way to provide proof, if you have used credit card, or bank transfer on this account before, let them know, and they will ask for proof that way from you, and then just reply with proof to them.

I'm curious what did you do to convince the steam customer service that you have the proof of ownership on your former account?

i located the cd key, so i send it to them
Contact the phone company to get your number sim card back anyway.

it doesn't work like that in my country lol, or maybe there is but I'm not aware of it but i can deactivate the number which was the first thing i did when i lost it.

Would be a PUK code. Least thats what it's called here. That allows you to retain the same number if you transfer mobile providers or need a replacement SIM whether due to lost, damaged or new phone requires a different sized SIM.

Getting them to transfer you number to a new sim should be simple and would take around 24hours to do. Thats from when you get the SIM so going into a branch is the quickest option.
