Refund a gift back by gifted isnt working properly in Support.

My friend send me a gift by mistake which I redeemed. i havent played it and wish to cooperate in returning it on steam so he can get a refund in time but the steam refund page on it wont allow me to go beyond ticking the tickbox - Allow the original purchaser of this gift to request a refund


I do not get any proceed button and request isnt completing. Why is page incomplete and / or broken? Please fix this or make the process simpler not so tedious. Allow gift sender the option to seek a refund and gifted should get a notification of same and all he need do is tick Yes to request or No. You make gifted person go through many steps in support at present which does not even complete request!

See Screenshot. The final submission button push needed to complete request just does not show up. I hope its a glitch please fix. I havent been able to finish request in 24 hours now.

It's not broken. Your friend has to request a refund for the gift since he paid for it, then you should get a notification if you agree the refund.

He did that first but request was declined saying its redeemed so I have to visit support and request refund. So I tried but that page is broke it wont allow completion of request. Basically it isnt working the way it should.

When you click in the box to allow the refund, a message appears below that says now you can tell the original purchaser of the gift that they can request a refund. I tried it both using the Steam client and using a web browser. I think that you don't need a proceed button.

Did your friend try to refund the game after you clicked the box and left it checked?

Message didnt show up But he was able to refund after ticking box thanks.
