Catalina help?

I just bought a game and I guess it doesn't run on macOS Catalina, is there a patch or something to make it work, or am I screwed?

If it's a 32 bit game, it won't run on Catalina thanks to Apple banishing 32bit. Which game?

You can request to refund the game so long as the playtime has not exceeded 2 hours. Alternatively, you can google something along the lines of how to run Catalina on macOS just in case someone has figured this problem out in the past. In the future, since you play on a mac, you'll need to be able to tell if the game is even able to be ran on your computer to mitigate problems like this.

64bit games should work, only 32bit no longer is supported.
According to the games store page its 64bit only and should work on Catalina.

Refund it.

But MAC is listed on the store page with its own requirements.
If i remember correctly the MAC version came after the intial release.
And the threads you linked are pretty old, 2017/18, around when the game came out.

Idk, I updated to Catalina because the game told me to when I tried to open it that I wouldn't run otherwise, and now it won't open at all even after restarting steam.

Seems nobody with a Mac actually gets it working. Was a recent French thread that also mentioned that the game simply doesn't boot.

So either there is no proper Mac-version or it doesn't work properly.

Grounds for a refund and perhaps a report of the store page.

Best to contact the developer then. Might be that it simply doesn't work on Catalina.

I guess i won't be able to play it. I tried restarting Steam again and booting up the game but It said that my mac cannot be supported. Disappointing, but I'll just try to get a refund. Thanks for your help, guys.

Mac OS Catalina and future versions of Mac OS aren't gonna support 32-Bit apps and games, so you're gonna want to make sure games that you choose to purchase will run on 64-Bit.
