Can I refund a game I played for over 6 hours
Hello! Yesterday I bought the original Half-Life and it was extremely buggy, I tried with the game for 6 hours but I still couldn't manage to get half way through (no pun intended) and it always crashes too. So as of right now I have a refund pending for the game and I want to know if they will accept it or not, If not then thanks, have a nice day, and there goes my $10.88 (I hate tax) :(

Oh and before you say "You should have read the specs before you bought it" my PC has better specs than the recommended obviously.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
(Sorry for bad grammar I woke up a couple of minutes ago)

If you tried to refund it, most likely it will be rejected.
About your issue, have you tried verifying integrity of game files?

1. Should have bought it during the summer sale.
2. Refunds are usually not granted when you have more than two hours of runtime or own the game for more than two weeks. You must meet both requirements for a guaranteed refund.

Will likely be autodeclined.

Unlikely. I bought a game and accidentally left it logged in for 4 hours and could not get a refund.

The original HL is a pretty solid game and I’ve never heard of systemic crashes like you’re describing

did you verify the game cache files to see if something is missing?

try play in windowed mode to see if is resolution

I never had problems with HL1 series so that's strange it should run good on your pc

Hi, if you contact valve and tell them you can't play the game, they will automatically refund it, I recently got DayZ and I couldn't play cause of how buggy it was so I contacted Valve, contact through this link https://www.valvesoftware.com/en/contact/ and they will reply in a few days. Make sure to contact customer service

i couldn't because gta v was off by 50% which left me with I think $5 and I didn't want to buy half life because i wanted to see what other games were on sale

And thank you everyone but fortunately. I couldn't refund the game but thank you so much for helping anyway.
