Problem with recent Nvidfia drivers 451.67
Hello ,
Someting to share if it may help. I recently experienced some slowdown on the images in Assassin's creed origin, while the game was running fine on my computer until recently (AMD FX8300 /ASRock970 Pro 3 R2/ 8Go Mem / Graphic: GTX 1060 6go Zotac) and after several different testing (trying to identify where this lag may come from), I reinstalled an old release of an Nvidia driver that fixed my problem. I identified that my problem started around June 2020 and was even worse when installed the latest version available in July (vers. 451.67).
I founded a page on Nvidia were you can download old drivers here https://www.nvidia.fr/Download/Find.aspx?lang=fr and went back on version 445.87 and the game is now fluid and working perfectly in high resolution with this release. I was close to add more memory on my computer previously as I could not imagine a driver would have such effect on a game.
I do not know the impact of the recent drivers on my configuration, but if you face same problem, you can try this.
:steamfacepalm:

Current drivers version is 27.21.14.5167
Always check the what's new as many driver releases can be for games newest release and games we dont even own.
Some includes fixes for all games but My rule is when if it aint broke dont fix it.
They can mess with the mainboard audio drivers which can cause problems.

There were security problems that got fixed with newer drivers.

In general, i always keep the last known running driver as backup. And when a security update comes out, i decide which driver takes that place.

Dont listen to them...

Just keep your current older Driver, & hope that the Next New one that comes out will fix your issue...

Other wise you might need to wait a lil longer... Although, I get the feeling that these same Bugs come to older Drivers eventually later down the line anyways...

But at least, you can hold out longer without bugs then those who Update Early...

In 2020, you mise well just claim that as long as you have Internet... You already have Security Problems...

The Internet its self is the Security Problem, oO

Anotherwards, you can no longer rely on New Drivers for better Security...

However, you can believe them if you want to...

He does not need to "believe"...... its a matter of evaluating facts.
Does it matter or is it necessary to decide to skip the choice? Thats the question.
I tested odyssey with 451.48, and unless the bug happens in specific situations, i did not notice it.

What is necessary though, is to keep a backup of the last known running driver.
