Always check the what's new as many driver releases can be for games newest release and games we dont even own.
Some includes fixes for all games but My rule is when if it aint broke dont fix it.
They can mess with the mainboard audio drivers which can cause problems.

In general, i always keep the last known running driver as backup. And when a security update comes out, i decide which driver takes that place.
Just keep your current older Driver, & hope that the Next New one that comes out will fix your issue...
Other wise you might need to wait a lil longer... Although, I get the feeling that these same Bugs come to older Drivers eventually later down the line anyways...
But at least, you can hold out longer without bugs then those who Update Early...
In 2020, you mise well just claim that as long as you have Internet... You already have Security Problems...
The Internet its self is the Security Problem, oO
Anotherwards, you can no longer rely on New Drivers for better Security...
However, you can believe them if you want to...
Does it matter or is it necessary to decide to skip the choice? Thats the question.
I tested odyssey with 451.48, and unless the bug happens in specific situations, i did not notice it.
What is necessary though, is to keep a backup of the last known running driver.
