Every steam game gets lag every 2 seconds please help me!

So ive experienced lag every 2 seconds or so on every steam game. It ruins the gameplay, i have tried everything, unplugged all usb devices except conrtoller, closed everything on my pc, closed steam on task manager, and restarted my pc, NOTHING works and i cant find anything on google!!

Videos won't load. It's most likely something you have running in the background like an anti-virus or malware protection program scanning. Turn everything you don't need running off. The only things you need running while playing games is the Steam Client, the game, and windows.

Turn your anti-virus software off to test it. That's probably what it is.

i have tried closing everything but my game and steam, doesnt seem to work, but i just realized i had an update on a steam game paused, is that maybe the issue?

A download being paused will not effect your connection. An active download will.
If you're playing multiplayer games on servers a long distance from you that could also be the reason. Only connect to servers you have a good connection to = ping below 50 is best.

my ping is fine, and im playing multiplayer games in my region. All my steam games have this issue and it just started recently, i dont get this kind of lag on games like minecraft

theres a tiny bit of lag every 2 seconds or something, it might not seem like a big deal, but it really is

Every time the brakes or flames or whatever that is between the rear wheels lights up the game gets choppy. If there's an option in the settings to turn Sprites or lighting effects off turn that stuff off and see if it still does it.

its not only one game, as i said, its ALL steam games and its the exact same kind of "lag", but this doesnt happen in minecraft for example, because its not on steam ofc. The videos were just examples of what kind og lag it was, my settings have been the same for 3 years so i dont think it has anything to do with that. I get this kind of lag in csgo too

If it's happening in all games it's either something that's running in the background causing it which is correctable by shutting that process down or it's internet lag. There's isn't anything you can do about it if it's internet lag.

Im sure its not internet lag, and if i had anything running in the background wouldnt it also happen to games not on steam? Im going to try to find a solution online again, thanks fo your time trying to help me, if i have been a pain in the ass im sorry lol but goodbyes and have a good one

No. Because those games aren't also running the steam client.
