I wanted to ask this since I didn't get a clear answer anywhere, if I buy a music-kit in CSGO from the in-game store worth more than $5, will it remove the limited account restrictions?

Depends how you add the funds to your account to purchase it. You need to add it directly yourself. You don't even need buy it. Just add $5+ to your steam wallet will unlimit the account

It's a steam thing and it's clearly explained in the Steam page you read. Should never had been a need to discuss it on discord.
