PlayStation DualShock 3 Wireless Controller

Worth buying one in 2020?I already have an XBOX 360,One and a DualShock 4 controllers using all 3 of them Wireless but I wanted to grab this one aswell to have 4.
It's battery is the same as the DualShock 4's?And you charge it with a phone charger?
And also you connect it to your pc trough Bluetooth? And you need a similar application as the DS4 is for DualShock 4?

While the DS3 battery life is better than DS4 I doubtful very much that you could find a new DS3 controller nowadays. Buying a used DS3 would have a weaker battery than a new DS4 after years of charging/discharging cycles.

Plus PC Support is much better for DS4 compared to a DS3.

If you like DS4 and you really want a 4th controller I'd go for another DS4. That way you can charge one while you use the other. I have 2 I use in rotation waiting until battery is around 10% on one before I put it on charge and use the other.

There is a seller here in Romania that sells brand new PS3 controllers. And the ratings are 4.7/5 saying that the product is just like in the picture. They are also mentioned being brand new PS3 controllers.

Even then I'd still go for a DS4 as it's newer and better supported on PC. That said I do still have an older DS3 as a spare in a box somewhere.

Last time I used DS3 I needed to use SCPToolkit and SCPToolkit took 100% control over my Bluetooth device. That meant I could not connect anything but DS3 to it. So I wouldn't have been able to use any other BT devices.

Have no idea if and how DS3 support is nowadays as I haven't used it for so long. It may be better now. Anyone is free to point other options out and correct me

PS3 controller was a go to controller if didn't like using the Xbox 360 controller, but when PS4 came out, the PS3 controller quickly got taken over by PS4 controller as it has better support on PC, and easier to work with compare to PS3 controller for driver support on PC.

The two controllers are practically similar in every aspect, besides the touch pad which I think is useless, grips that seem to be better redesign on PS4, and redesign triggers, which you know there different, but using them will not be different.

I used to use PS3 controller years ago, and the one thing I hated was using the only one driver that worked correctly without too much of a huge hassle, has a mandatory internet access to run the dumb emulator controller, which I don't trust it as it has potential attacks, as if someone gain access to that service can send all kind of things, and take data from you like banking info or whatever. It took awhile for someone to make a offline version, but you still have to install a driver that was made from that crappy application, but at least no need to connect to their service just to use the PS3 emulation driver, but the offline app can be buggy as may not detect, or need to be reinstall to fix it.
