Oculus Rift S -
A little while back, my dad bought me an Oculus rift S. (It was used but barely. Some people can't handle VR as we know). It was working well for a few months. To get straight to the point:

My Oculus Rift S keeps going through this firmware/drivers update loop. Every time I put it on my head (white light), I hear this frying static noise and it crashes (orange light). It keeps losing track of its sensors (can't detect them) and it keeps saying it can't find my display port which is plugged into my PC. No matter how many times I "update" the drivers/firmware, it does literally nothing and comes back with another and another completely randomizing them. I look into device setup and it says the display port is connect-SIKE! Firmware/Driver update. It can only ever give me a minute of gameplay before having pulled its own life support plug. (And no, nothing actually disconnected from the headset or PC that caused this).
Here's what I've tried:

-Uninstall/Reinstall (x2)
-Repair Software with installer (x5)
-Unplug/Re-plug in (I have no idea how many times)
-Update Recommended Drivers (Same with this one)
-Rebooted Pc (Don't know how many times either)
-All of the above in multiple recommended sequences
-Restart Oculus software
-(My hands began spazzing out like flickering and throwing items around upon release so I was told to): Turn on testing community
-Uninstall/Reinstall SteamVR (x2)
-Unplugging/Re-plugging in cable end on the side of the headset (A few times. Yes, for sure, it's plugged in correctly).

I've searched all over the place for answers. It's almost like the software is bricked or something idk. Does anybody know what's going on?

Send it in for warranty

Crap. I wasn't specific. We bought it off someone else. $300 is pretty cheap for these things. The average price being $400-$600

It's not unusual for people to sell their breaking stuff cheaper to some poor schmuck thus ripping that schmuck off. If that person's serious and the device was somewhat new when they sold it, you still should have gotten a sales receipt from them which you can use to deal with the faulty device.

That is true. I do agree, but if it's been working for months without complications, why is it now doing this? Also, it still turns on and stuff. It works like a normal Oculus headset (for about a few minutes). I can't tell if the headset is giving up or the software is at this point because they both work fine but it's like they disagree with each other and won't cooperate. (I know it's not alive but it's like it should work). Even the software will state something is plugged in when it's not though. It's a bit weird. Also, if you know what drivers need to be updated can anyone let me know? I've tried a few but I don't know if there is a specific one in device manager.

On the Oculus forums there is a step by step MANUAL removal method. Many months back during an update or two .. something happened.. and my headset started to do something like yours.

I had to do a full manual uninstall .. and a reinstall .. the Uninstall the software uses leaves some stuff behind.

You can also try to run

C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers\oculus-driver.exe

That has solved some issues I've encountered.

I usually just run this now after Oculus decides to update itself .. just as a precaution.

Best to run that on a reboot with the Oculus software not running.

Hope something works for you.

Rule out the software. Perform a clean install (from scratch), preferably on a different computer, and try to get it to run.
