My DS4 controller is connected but not working.

My DS4 controller is connected. It works fine in big picture but as soon as i open a game, my controller stops working. I use my controller wired

I suggest using SCP Toolkit. Got both DS3 and DS4 working flawlessly both by wire and bluetooth with any DXInput-compatible game.

SCP works fine on both DS3 and DS4. I did switch to DS4Windows myself last year when I build my new system. Ds4windows also works fine provided it's loaded before Steam. Steam like stealing the DS4 so they fight for control causing drops in connection.

Just need to get used the the ABXY prompts. Takes a little time but once you do it becomes instinct to know which symbol each ABXY prompt means

Got a lot of issues tho, including not overriding the drivers properly, refusing to work on bluetooth and hitching with high CPU usage and temporal input delays. At least that was my personal experience, so I'll reccomend trying SCP first.

I heard that too but haven't actually experienced it myself. Only reason I switched was because I wanted access to my Bluetooth for other devices. SCP takes full control of Bluetooth adpater preventing it's use for anything else. DS4windows I can now use other BT devices.

SCPToolkit if OP wants to use controller with Bluetooth and has no need to connect other Bluetooth devices.

Or
DS4Windows if wanting to connect DS4 via Bluetooth and also use other BT devices.
