Some please help - Credit Card Verification
Okay, so this morning I attempted to buy three CSGO skins on the community marketplace. Now my account cannot use the marketplace until I verify my credit card with two authorization amounts. However it is a Saturday, my bank is closed and I do not have online banking (you would've thought that verifying my security code was enough...). Steam doesn't have any direct customer service to directly talk to (dumbest thing ever). I'm fed up with Steam right now any tips?

Wait out the 3 days or verify it Monday (which is 2 days from now).

Support can NOT remove or reduce any restriction for the market once you trigger one.

Buy wallet cards and never have to verify card details ever again.

Steam Support can't help you except to tell you that you STILL need to verify your credit card through your bank. Their business hours and lack of an online banking system is your problem, not Steam's. Just because payment security is an inconvenience for you, doesn't mean that Valve should throw their security out the window.

Where did I say they should throw their security out the window? Payment security is not an inconvenience, its a great thing to have but this ridiculous method is an inconvenience. My bank's business hours and lack of an online banking (due to location in rural US) are no one's problem as it is a ridiculous method of verification in the first place. I have never before been asked to verify a credit card by contacting my bank and verifying two pending authorizations for a small 20 dollar transaction in this way before. No other company's marketplace (amazon, apple, the list goes on) has ever required me to do this, not even for payments much much larger. Furthermore I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon so it is impossible to wait until monday without waiting a much longer amount of time which is why I was attempting to get in contact with someone with steam support because I did not know what else I could do. I would just pay with another card or another method entirely but my entire steam account is frozen from the market for the moment... And as for Steam Support, I would really like to know what Steam Support even is. How does a company as large as Valve not have an actual customer support option where you can communicate live with an actual human like 99% of other companies. I do not believe I was being as ridiculous as you made me out to be, I would just like service from a company to whom I was trying to conduct business but apperently that's unrealistic.

All irrelevant. CC verification will NEVER change from the system they have now.

You ever consider hitting the enter key every now and then? Amazon uses a similar credit card verification system, so does PayPal and so does Ebay. Apple asks for credit card verification just to buy free games from the app store and also has authorization holds for new credit cards.

Personally, I would recommend that you get a better bank. But since you would rather use a bank that has no online or banking by phone system to check your balance/withdrawals then perhaps it would be more your speed to have your bank fax over a statement verifying your information to Valve headquarters?

Since you say you're from a rural area then perhaps you've heard this little piece of rural wisdom, it states that your poor planning does not constitute an emergency for me.

The reason I told you that I am in a rural area is because there are only two banks in the town (both of which are small privately run banks, not regions, Bank of America, etc) But yes tell me more about my poor planning.... I would never leave a bank over a video game lmao. Im not angry with you but I find it weird that you find no flaw in the way valve has little to no customer support (no way to actually talk live to a human which wouldve saved me a lot of serching) and the way valve is requiring this method of verification on a 20 dollar transaction. When asked for verification by amazon, ebay etc. I am always asked for the security code on my card or very rarely called by visa for phone verification, this is just plain unconvenient to the customer.

There are plenty of banks that provide free accounts and no money to open accounts. You can do everything online these days.

There is no excuse in this day in age.
