"cannot follow a curator you already ignore"

I get this error whenever I try to follow a game developer or curator. After removing one curator, I found that this error is because there is a hidden limit on how many curators you can follow at once. Since following people in the workshop also counts to this limit, I'm left without the ability to follow new people.

Is there anyway around this, or has valve said anything on it?

The limit is 100. It goes for following and ignoring.

My point is that this block also applies to following workshop creators and game developers as well, which all seem to take from the curator pool.

So it becomes restricting when I can't follow the majority of companies I want to follow, nor can I follow many of the workshop authors I want to follow.
