hey there ... i just tried to buy a game on humble bundle and at the check out they ask for postcode so i wrote 1 and clicked pay .. it's says that the postcode is wrong , well i tried another 4 postcodes ( 5 in totall ) and it saysa that all of them is wrong .. and guess what .. each time i tried 1 postcode they charged my credit card with 1$ ( 5$ in total ) .. i'm asking if this is what they do ?? or is it a scam ? i tried the support center but i'm waiting for them to respond ..

Humble Bundle is legit, just wait for a respond by the support team also keep in mind, it's weekend.

how can you say it's legit .. from what happened here i don't think they r .. and i'm sure i used the right postcode ...

HB are legit, theyll want the postcode of the card. Although im not sure how you have five different postcodes to try...?!?

It'll be a £1 hold they put on the card to check if it is legit, it'll drop off after a few days - no money actually leaves your account.

Maybe they didnt expect people to write wrong post codes several times.

It doesn't help if you explain it to us, explain it to the Humble Bundle support.

Nothing much you can do but to wait for a response.

Sounds like odds are the purchase failed but your bank has a hold on the funds. Wouldn't even surprise me if you get a call from your credit card companies fraud protection division as this should surely trigger a flag(I know I've had purchases flagged for far less).

Keep in mind they are looking for the postal code tied to the card you used. If, for example, you recently moved and haven't updated your banking info then your old postal code is probably still the one tied to the card.

I would still contact them just in case(I'd also ask your bank/credit card company) but more than likely they don't have your money and your bank is just holding it. Once the hold drops off, the money will come back to your account.
