How do I sell my vive?

I've had the HTC Vive for a while now and it's cool yeah but i've had loads of problems with it, i.e The controllers won't work unless plugged in, the headset won't connect to the base stations and the base sations stop working all together. For the amount I payed for the Vive you'd expect decent customer support but there is near to no good support for the vive. That brings me to the reason I have posted this, I had to put a code into my steam vr when I got the Vive so how do I sell it? Do I need the code? Or can I sell it without? Please help i'm selling it tomorrow.

I live in the UK. I'm going to trade it in. I just don't know if I need the code that I got when I bought it. And I guess that first message was probably a bit long winded.
