Steam chat always says "You have been sending too many messages in a short period of time"

This keeps happening to me recently today, and I have tried every solution. Reinstalling steam, restarting steam, going to offline mode then going to online mode, trying to chat in my browser. All of them didnt work.

Can anybody even fix this for me? It's annoying. This also happens to me on private DMs, not just group chats.

If you tell me to get Discord, I already have it but a friend of mine is not allowed to use Discord and only has Steam to chat on.

They are in the middle of fixing the messaging exploits. There will be issues until they are done.

it got fixed, apparently valve was patching a exploit that allowed bots to chat to people that werent their friends on steam.

How many can you post in less than 1 minute? I got 4 before the 5th one triggered it. Just know I am testing it on a limited account chatting with this one.
