"Insufficient privilege"

Hi, I received a gift from my friend, however, when I try to add it to my library there pops an icon up saying "Insufficient privilege"
Help me, please.

OP issue was trying to redeem a DLC for a game didn't own in the 1st place.

If getting issue during buying, ensure everything checks out.

- Ensure your payment info is correct, if you provide wrong details your card company will decline it.

- Ensure you have enough funds for the game, or else your card comapny will decline it.

- Ensure your card company didn't black list Steam, as few compaines do it because few people reported them for whatever reason, may it be really dumb, or not so dumb reasons which company just black list it for everyone causing problems for everyone else, just ensure your card company didn't black list Steam, if they did tell them to unblock for you, may need to talk to a higher up in the company that would have access, and authority to making these changes.

If getting this issue for downloading, or clicking play.

- Restart Steam, see if issue resolve.

- Ensure transaction is complete.

The deluxe edition bundle includes the base game. The deluxe content version (which is significantly cheaper) does not include the base game.

If you spent £6.99, then you didn't get the bundle. This is the 'deluxe edition' which is really just a bundle;

That's the error you get when trying to activate DLC without owning the actual base game.
