My Steam store getting filled with Chinese text/language games?
How do I stop this from happening. Most of them do not even support English but in Store Preferences there is no option to filter the store to your native language. Problem is most of them are listed with english tags too. This has started happening 2-3 days ago and more of them are popping up.

EDIT: Please forgive me if games that are link below are not Chinese.

中国式家长 / Chinese Parents

They also showing up on Steam stats now as some of the most played games. This is a new development. Two of them are in top 10 charts and on top of top selling list.

Just find your account name on the right top of the Steam UI, pick store perferences, there's a language tab inside

I don't see any chinese language games on that link. How far up is the chinese game for you on that page?

Still, I do see one of if I click the popular tab on https://store.steampowered.com/
That might be intentional or a bug, hard to say.

Two of them are right at the top in top selling and one is right at the bottom. They also showing up on Steam charts now. I might need to contact Steam support and notify them about this problem maybe could be exclusive to South African Steam Stores. I will verify with one of my friends if they see these games too.

EDIT: Well asked most of my friends on Steam and all of them see these games as well. I do not know if they are region locked games getting shown on my store now. Maybe these are not region locked? Can anyone confirm?

You could try changing your settings and adding another language and change it back?

This thread might be enough, you could revisit the it if the problem sticks around. I'm sure valve will notice this also.
I think they update the site weekly so maybe wait and see if it comes back.

Its in the u.s. store as well. I dont think they are separating the markets which means even more clutter to sort through. Used to be just one or two titles but now its picking up. Expect to just have to deal with it. Its been a thing for awhile now your just starting to notice it as its been getting worse. Dont be surprised to find the store primarily filled with games made for the chinese region. They out number us. Valve really should start a Steam china and just separate the two stores. It will be near impossible to shop soon when you add the majority of the english content is just pure trash.

Thanks everyone for your help. Seeing that US stores are getting these titles as well to show up I will wait a little while. Will give Steam some time to maybe sort the problem out before I contact them. Probably some people have contacted them before so just a matter of waiting. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.

Those are not regional locked games, Steam don't lock games just because languages since there will be people who can read it globally, most of things only locked due to market strategy or local laws

Well, the 'secondary languages' should actually filter those games as long as they don't have what you picked, but it don't seems worked on my end anyway, guess you can try to reach the Steam support
