Internet Browsers lagging while game is open.

This is a problem I've been getting quite a lot recently, when ever I would have a game open and a browser at the same time the browser would lag. The first time I noticed this I was trying to watch youtube and play at the same time but, the video would stutter and start buffering. This has now transformed into just overall lag within the browser such as scrolling through pages. This really bothers me as I like to multi-task while I play games. My rig shouldn't be experiencing these problems as I have a pretty good setup. Another thing to note is that it doesn't look like when I have a browser open and a video starts lagging my CPU usage doesn't spike at all.

My specs are:
I7-6700k
GTX 1070 (MSI Armor OC Edition)
16gb of ram

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but a 2tb hard drive and a 250gb SSD

Some things I've tried to do to solve the problem:
-Uninstall Geforce Experiance

-Unselect hardware acceleration in Chrome

-Change video priority in power settings

-Try switching browsers


Anything to try and help would be much appreciated
