How Does Taking Screenshots Work With Non-Steam Games?

Hello, quick question. If I were to add a non steam game to Steam, like World of Warcraft for example, would taking screenshots and uploading them still show up on my activity feed for my friends to like and comment on just like it would for a normal Steam game? Thank you.

It will work.
It'll show up in your friends a activity feed and in your profile page same as screenshots from Steam games.

I added Mirror's Edge that I don't own on Steam as Non-Steam game and uploaded screenshot.

Screenshots from Non Steam Games DO NOT show up in your activity feed.
You can take them and even display them on your profile but they wont register on the activity feed.
That was changed years ago.

When I uploaded that screenshot, I saw "Eldin uploaded screenshot of Non-Steam game Mirror's Edge" in my Activity Feed.

I don't know could my friend see it, but I was able to see it there.

Well, ask one of your friends if they can see it.
But a few years ago Steam disabled the screenshots of non Steam games in the activity feed because users abused it to upload porn and gore, meme and so on.


Edit: Just uploaded a screenshot of "Starsector" a Non Steam Game in my library.
Does not appear in my activity feed and i cant see it.
Only visible in my screenshot category on my profile.

Just tell him how to do it or, is that too much? If you want non-Steam screenshots to be seen on your activity page to share with your friends, you need to add it to your screenshot library as 'Artwork.' Once done, you can then share it with your friends.

There's also a way to add any non-Steam screenshots to a Steam folder that will allow you to post them, normally, like all Steam games do but, I don't know how to do it. I read about it in the forums, somewhere. Never tried it, myself.
