Battlefront 2 (2005) New Update Issue

Star Wars Battlefront 2 recently updated, to which I was very excited about, however, I am having some new issues as a result. Whenever I go to play the game it opens up and begins to run but I am immediately kicked out of the game. On my main window I can see the icon at the bottom showing that the game is minimized and running, but when I select the icon to maximize the game it immediately kicks me out about two seconds later and continues to run.

This never happened before the new update, and I'm really unsure how to go about fixing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
