Can log into steam website but can't login to Steam Client
Initially I couldn't log in to either the webpage or the steam app on my pc with one of my other accounts-- icewolf is me(down below) 4th time is a charm. It actually logged me in.

I know my account name is correct and I know my password is correct because I can log in on that account into the Steam Webpage.

BUT STILL, it tells me the information is wrong when I try to log in on the APP

Hello,

Make sure you are entering your Steam account name and not your email address or your community/profile name.

My steam account name is confirmed in the email they use to reset your password.


I'll check out the account recovery, because nothing else is working and it's got me scratching my head.

So this is me--my other account. And I am here posting on it and it let me sign in to the website. But when I try to sign in to the steam login that is on my computer or even the steam app that is on my phone.....it tells me the account name or the password that I entered is not correct.

Before we go down this road, there are no other applications interfering with steam.
My son went and made a new account and it works.

Problem is, I have games Ive bought on THIS account and I want it to work.

I suppose your account has Steam family view enabled? Log into it in Steam Big Picture and disable family view. Or disable family view from the web site.

Nope, family view is disabled.

Why exactly would that interfere from logging into an account on the phone app?

It wont log in on my COMPUTER Steam Client AND it wont login on my App on my PHONE.

The only place I can login is here on the website.

Which leads me to believe, this is a issue on Steams end, and not mine.

Ive checked and rechecked, logged and relogged.
It will not connect to the CLIENT.

How can the same problem be repeated on two different devices (the pc steam client) and the app on my phone both having the same issue.

I have the correct log in information.

The client AND the phone app will not accept.

Frustrating as this is the simplest issue on any other program.

I issued a ticket--and now I just have to wait. Because the same account --the one above me that I was able to log in on the webpage-- I am NOW unable to log in with. Weird. Nothing has changed. Maybe, (hopefully) the steam peeps are checking this out and it's something they've done.
